Inside of a book case
This photo shows the inside of a book case in production at AcmeBinding. The darker board is the spine; immediately outside of that are the hinges and then the boards for the front and back cover. Eventually, the endpapers will cover up the boards.

Clear foil stamp
Clear foil over uncoated paper has a nice look. A spot varnish or UV would soak into the paper so the foil is a better solution.

Sculpted emboss
This emboss was done for the cover of Georgetown University’s Report of the Working Group on Slavery, Memory, and Reconciliation.

Silver metallic foil + coating
This large area of metallic foil works really well with the addition of a gloss UV coating. The UV coating makes the foil much more durable and also improves its color and reflectivity.
